- Playing weather: highs of 18–27 °C score best; wet days, heavy rain and cold mornings cost points.
- Wind: average daily peak wind; over about 20 km/h starts to hurt, over 35 km/h is a grind.
- Courses: how many top-100-caliber and bucket-list courses are within an hour. Variety: number and range of good courses.
- Season & value: green fees and crowds by month. Peak season (Scottsdale in March, Myrtle Beach in April) costs more and books up; shoulder months score better.
- 19th hole: food, bars and non-golf things to do for the group.
- Bad weather caps the overall grade.
