How the crowd forecast works
- School breaks drive most of it: Thanksgiving, Christmas–New Year, MLK and Presidents' Day weekends, Presidents' week, spring break (spread across March and April by when big districts break, with Easter week on top), summer, Columbus Day weekend, Southern fall breaks and New Jersey's "Jersey Week".
- Visitors from abroad matter in Orlando: UK half terms, Easter and summer holidays, and Brazil and Latin America in January and July.
- Day of week: in Orlando weekends are not the busiest days at Disney (Saturday and Sunday are travel days); Universal, Disneyland and Cedar Point get their biggest crowds on Saturdays from local drive-in visitors and passholders.
- Park events: Magic Kingdom closes at 6 pm to day guests on Mickey's Halloween and Christmas party nights, so those days are lighter and the days around them busier. EPCOT's Food & Wine and Holidays festivals bring Florida locals on weekends; runDisney Marathon Weekend and the February and April cheer and dance nationals add crowds at Disney. Halloween Horror Nights closes Universal Studios Florida early to day guests.
- Late August and September are the year's quietest weeks in Orlando: schools are back and it's hurricane season.
- Cedar Point follows its operating calendar (closed days show "Closed"; next season's dates are estimated until announced), HalloWeekends, Ohio and Michigan school calendars and the weather. Within 16 days, rain, heat, cold and wind from the Open-Meteo forecast lower the score, most of all at Cedar Point.
- The score is 0–100 for that park: Quiet under 25, Moderate 25–44, Busy 45–64, Very busy 65–81, Packed 82+.
How well it matched last year
Theme parks don't publish attendance. Disney's terms of use forbid automated collection from its sites, so date-based ticket prices are not used. Event dates for future years are estimated until the parks announce them. Live wait times: Powered by Queue-Times.com. Weather: Open-Meteo. Forecasts are guidance, not guarantees.
